I was commissioned to illustrate a large piece of artwork live at Stay Safe East’s Volunteer Open Day.
The organisation wanted the final piece to be 6x4 ft. I used quality hardwood and joined two 3x4 ft boards with hinges to make the final piece easier to transport. Stay Safe East plan to keep and display the work in their offices to celebrate the project, so I wanted to ensure the artwork was practical and built to last.
I used a mixture of archival paint and paint pens, and completed the boards through the event, over 4-5 hours in total.
Thanks to Stay Safe East for having me at your lively and warm event, where I met many incredible and inspiring people!
A ‘making of’ video of my process creating the artwork.
